VILLAGE GREEN CLEAN:A COMMUNITY EVENT
On Saturday, April 18 the Village of Voorheesville will be holding its first ever Village Green Clean. The Village Green Clean is a volunteer opportunity for village residents to be involved in some spring cleaning of village streets, parks and neighborhoods between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 noon, and then to enjoy some fun time with friends and neighbors, as well as some food and beverage, at the fire house on Altamont Road from Noon until 2:00 pm. It has been planned to compliment Earth Day, which is April 22nd.

In addition to the planned roadside clean-up the Village of Voorheesville will also be hosting some recycling collections, which will be an opportunity for people in the area to clean out and get rid of some items from around the house. They will be collecting books, clothing/textiles, plastic bags and film plastic items, as well as vehicle batteries in the back parking lot of the fire house from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm that day.
