Tax, Water and Sewer Bills
Village of Voorheesville annual property tax bills, water bills and sewer bills are mailed to residents on June 1st each year.
Sewer bills are due quarterly: July 31, October 31, January 31 and April 30. Sewer bills can also be paid by the half-year or full year.
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to the large number of incorrectly paid tax and water bills, Village Staff asks all residents to PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FIGURES when writing out tax and water and sewer payments. Partial payments cannot be accepted on tax and water bills. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
PROHIBITION OF PARKING IN DESIGNATED LOCATIONS
In addition there shall be no parking at any time on the following:
1.No parking on any cul de sac or right side of street leading to a cul de sac at any time.
2. No parking west side of South Main Street
a. either side of Center Street;
b. west side of Pleasant Street;
c. north side of Prospect Street;
d. west side of Pine Street;
e. north side of Voorheesville Avenue from the Village line to the intersection of South Main Street;
f. south side of Voorheesville Avenue from South Main Street to Maple Avenue;
g. either side of Swift Road or Crow Ridge Road;
h. either side of 85A within the Village limits;
i. south side of Mountain View Street, nor either side of Mountain View Street within 100 feet of Route 85A; and
Parking on any Village street is prohibited from November 15th through April 15th from 12:00 midnight to 6:00am.
CONTROL OF DOGS
It shall be unlawful for any owner of or any person harboring any dog to permit or allow such dog to:
a) engage in habitual loud howling or barking or to conduct itself in such manner so as to habitually annoy any person other than the owner or person harboring such dog. Any unreasonable or unnecessary noise by continues barking, howling, or other animal noises is considered to be continuous after fifteen (15) minutes.
b) cause damage or destruction to property, or commit a nuisance upon the premises of a person other than the owner or person harboring such a dog,
c) chase or otherwise harass any person in such a manner as reasonably to cause intimidation or to put such person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm or injury,
d) habitually chase or bark at motor vehicles or,
e) run at large unless said dog is restrained by a leash or unless accompanied by its owner or a responsible person able to control the animal;
f) allow any animal in their custody or control to leave waste on any private property or on public property as fully described in Village of Voorheesville Local Law No. 2 of 1999.
The keeping or housing of three or more dogs or cats over six months of age is a kennel which is NOT allowed in the Village.
