PAPER RECYCLING
Please participate in using the Green Fiber dumpsters located behind the fire house and Methodist Church. Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, paper, books, cardboard, paper board and ANYTHING made from a tree can be dropped off. Please no plastic or anything with food. Place all shredded paper in a sealed brown bag.
RECYCLING
All recyclables can be placed in the new rolling trash bins and placed at the curb, but away from the garbage bin. Plastic 1 - 7 should be recycled (no lids please), as well as glass bottles and jars. Recyclable paper can be placed in this bin as well, HOWEVER, we are asking that residents continue to use the paper recycling bins located at the firehouse and methodist Church.
TRANSFER STATION
The Town of New Scotland Transfer Station is open on Saturdays throughout the year and on Wednesdays from May through September. Permits can be purchased from the Town of New Scotland Town Hall or at the transfer station. For more information call 475-0385.
